Randomly generated quizzes!
(Select a category to begin)

This is an experimental system that generates adaptive multiple-choice drills to help you learn associations between pairs of things -- words, definitions, places, etc. You can use it to test your recall in a category such as English verb definitions or Greek gods.

Over time, the system will learn how to make the questions for each category more challenging based on your answers and the answers of your fellow users. In particular, the system records your choices to learn how to select the best distractors, or wrong answers, for each question in the future.

This system is in its very earliest stage of development and lacks many of the features that will make the service truly valuable in a learning environment. For now, I invite you to help it in its quest to learn about human answering behavior by taking a few tests. You might learn something new!

Note that the quizzes only end when you say you're done. They'll keep giving you questions indefinitely until you change categories or get bored and turn off your computer.

Please note: The English vocabulary quizzes (verbs, nouns, and adjectives), while they do not contain profanity, can generate definitions that may be inappropriate for younger users due to sexual themes. Please be advised of this before deciding whether to allow children to use this site.
